Privacy Policy

Version 1.0, last updated 17 July 2026

1. Who we are

DOOZU ("we", "us") operates doozu.co.uk, the DOOZU partner platform at partners.doozu.co.uk, and the DOOZU consumer app: a marketplace connecting businesses offering activities with customers booking spare capacity at a discount, starting in London.

For data protection purposes DOOZU is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Contact: hello@doozu.co.uk.

2. What we collect

Website visitors: technical data needed to serve and secure the site, such as IP address and browser type, held in short-lived server logs.

Partners: your name, email, phone number, and the business details you provide (name, address, descriptions, images, pricing, availability). If you connect a booking system, we store the credentials you supply and the availability data your system shares. Payout details are collected and held by Stripe, not by us.

Customers (app users): your name, email, bookings, reviews, favourites, approximate or precise location if you grant permission (used to show nearby activities), and a device token if you enable push notifications.

Payments: processed by Stripe. We never see or store full card details; we hold booking amounts, fees, and payment references.

3. Why we use it

To run the marketplace: showing listings, taking bookings, processing payments and payouts, sending booking confirmations and reminders (performance of a contract).

To keep the platform safe and improve it: security logs, fixing problems, understanding usage (legitimate interests).

To send service emails such as application updates, booking notifications, and important changes to terms. Marketing emails are only sent with your consent and you can opt out any time.

4. Who we share it with

Service providers who host and power DOOZU: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Vercel (website hosting), Cloudflare (DNS and security), and Expo (push notifications). Each processes data only on our instructions.

When you book an activity, the partner receives the information needed to deliver it: your name, party size, and booking reference. Partners must use this only to deliver your booking.

We do not sell personal data.

5. How long we keep it

Account data is kept while your account is active. If you delete your account in the app, your profile, reviews, and favourites are deleted; booking and payment records are retained in anonymised form for financial record-keeping.

Partner business records and transaction history are kept for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict processing, and ask for your data in a portable format. Email hello@doozu.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we would appreciate the chance to resolve any concern first.

7. Cookies

We use cookies that are essential to run the service, such as keeping partners signed in to their dashboard. We do not use advertising cookies.

8. Changes

We will update this policy as DOOZU evolves and note the date of the latest version here. Material changes will be flagged by email or in the product.

Partners can also read the Partner Terms and Conditions.
